Shrimp & Sausage Pasta
Ingredients
1 box pasta of choice
1 ring sausage of choice, sliced
2 lbs shrimp
4 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves minced garlic
1/2 cup half n half (or heavy cream )
1/2 cup pasta water
8 oz parmesan cheese
2 cups raw spinach
1/2 tbsp (Each): Salt, Black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, dried oregano, onion powder, garlic powder
Parsley for garnish
Instructions
Cook pasta according to packaging instructions. Save 1/2 cup of pasta water.
Add cooking oil and brown sausage to a large skillet over medium heat. When browned, remove and set aside aside.
Peel and devein shrimp, season with 3/4 of spice blend. Add 1 tbsp of butter to the same skillet, the sausage was cooked in and cook shrimp for 2 minutes on each side.
Remove shrimp and set aside. Add remaining butter to skillet, after butter is melted add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Add half-and-half, pasta water, and grate half of parmesan cheese. Mix entirely and let simmer for five minutes. Add remaining spice blend, and salt to taste.
Add cooked pasta, sausage, shrimp, and spinach to skillet. Grate remaining parm. (Add pasta gradually, you will not need an entire 1lb box)
Add any additional seasoning to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.
