To love and be Loved

“Relationships aren't guaranteed just because we're in one. Relationships thrive because the participants dive in, have hard conversations, face parts of themselves they've historically denied, and hold up mirrors for one another over and over again.” ~ Vienna Pharaon

Listen, relationships are hard work.

Especially in this digital age, where you can be easily manipulated and distracted by illusion and deception.

Everything is digitized.

So love has lost its magic.

The sparks don’t even be sparking like that anymore.

Because people don’t have the capacity or confidence to do the work, or to maintain interest and desire.

Everything is a performance or a show.

Everything is Content.

Conversation and connection have been replaced with vague and vain colloquialisms and captions that keep everybody circling, repeating their mistakes and living out their traumas.

But…

Healthy relationships foster openness and awareness.

Healthy relationships are honest.

Healthy relationships bring freedom and ease.

Healthy relationships allow room for self-love, self-care, and self-discovery.

Healthy relationships are balanced and built on a foundation of mutual trust, respect, and support.

Healthy relationships are soft, vulnerable, and affectionate.

Healthy relationships are not perfect, but they are real.

Healthy relationships foster healthy love.

And…

Healthy love is about two Whole people coming together to create a shared experience.

So…

Dive in.

Foster love.

Cultivate it.

Allow yourself to feel it.

Allow yourself to hope and believe.

Allow yourself to experience the magic of sharing your heart.

Allow yourself to love and be loved.
